Zelda II: The Adventure of Link – Wii U

Wow, this is awful. I own almost all of those games and the ones I don't I have no intention of buying. I usually look forward to reaching platinum every year because the reward usually makes up for the junk we get throughout the year (compared to other countries) but this is downright a slap in the face.

Huge fail.

I grabbed NES remix since I refuse to pay for digital stuff .. now I can at least give it a shot without spending any $$.

Edit:

And their site is down.  You'd think they would have anticipated the traffic after giving out thousands of digital items ..

I'm sure this is a huge cost savings for them since they don't have to produce a physical figurine or whatever but it is still disappointing to not have a choice. I think I would be less disappointed if there were more retail games and not so many "cheap" games. I will pick Game & Wario since I'm interested but don't want to waist any money on it.

god damn you NOA.  I dont own a Wii U and am not sure when I plan on getting one so those are out.  I really ony can buy fluidity and dillions since I own the rest.  well I have two accounts so I will get both I guess...............  So dumb.  I dont think i am going to bother with club nintendo anymore........I mean we dont even have normal prizes.  give us great stuff like NOE and NOJ.  I want the mario trophies tht europe got.  those would have been great platnum rewards.

They should have given out an Amiibo character for Super Smash Bros. to promote them. Since their prizes usually didn't ship until November anyway, it could have coincided with the release of the game but this is Nintendo we're talking about.....

Yeah, I ended up going with Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D, since I don't make it a habit of buying remakes of games I already own. In fact, I did the same thing with the Mario Kart 8 free game promotion -- I chose The Wind Waker HD.

I was certain we were going to get an Amiibo figure as well, would have been a perfect way to let people get a hands on look at the potential of the figures and promote Smash.

Not sure what I even want with my Platinum and Gold rewards. So many bad offerings for me. DKCR for 3DS would have been great if I didn't own it already.

Edit: fuck it just gonna sell my reward on ebay

It's like you guys got trolled by Nintendo. Maybe they're starting to get conservative with that Wii nest egg.

Current values on Amazon/ eShop:
Game and Wario - $30
NES Remix - $15
Earthbound - $10
Dr. Luigi - $15
Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D - $28
Fluidity: Spin Cycle - $11
Dillon’s Rolling Western - $11
Mario and Donkey Kong: Minis on the Move - $10

No physical prizes? I agree lame. I worked to platinum, I want more crap for my shelves.  ;D
At least it is better than last year. Not as good as the hat or Mario statue.
I'm going with DKC Returns, I wanted this one for a while, guess I can get it now.

DAMIT!
I was redeeming the code, a error happened so it did not download, and now it thinks I have it.
Maybe if I try to get it from the store . .
It crashed.

. . .

Opened back up, its working.
Error, I'll try again later.

Yeah, just keep trying every little bit. I had the same problem but eventually I got trough. It was NES Remix for me.

So much for reaping in exclusive Platinum member prizes this year... "Here you go guys! A bunch of digital downloads for titles we've already released to the public for everyone to enjoy. Some of which most of you may have already purchased to achieve your Platinum status in the first place. Doesn't cost us a damn thing either!"

Super disappointed with Nintendo. I thought the idea of Club Nintendo was to reward dedicated fans with exclusive rewards that couldn't be gotten anywhere else. And it's been getting worse every year but I never thought they'd stoop to this...

yeah based on those rewards it doesn't look like its worth being in that club if that's all you get considering the amount of spending you have to do

The games I buy from Nintendo are games I'm going to buy regardless of their club. Free games are always nice!
