A good way to get some higher-priced items cheap

Some of you may have access to a half-priced books in your area.  If so you know they're not the best for video games, sometimes not too bad, but generally they're over priced.  HOWEVER, they like to send out coupons for up to 40%-50% off your highest priced item quite often.  For example today and tomorrow, it's 40% off, 20% on Wednesday & Thursday, 30% Friday\Saturday, and 50% off on Sunday. That's $12.50 for Mega man X or $17 for super Metroid at my local place.

I go there a lot.  I think i have only bought 1 or 2 games there.  Are the coupons e-mailed?  Or is it an instant saving at the register?

Ozzy_98:

they're emailed, so you have to give them your address or sign up.  They seem to have 40% off at least every other month, but I've not paid very close attention because for last few years I only went there to fill out my D&D & Robotech novel collections, so saving 50% off the highest priced item of $3 didn't help much.

Its an email list; you can sign up online or at the store. I used the 40% coupon a few days ago, to get "The Art and Making of the Dark Knight Trilogy" for $12 (cover price is $40).

So, you receive coupons via email and you have to use it in store or you can buy on Internet stores?

How does it works?
