Even without opening them, wouldn't the round Nintendo seal be a giveaway?

The round seal is used in Europe. It has the "C E" on it so it looks like it was designed to look like the European version

If the stickers are  hard to tell, the first thing I look at is the etched font.  "GAMEBOY ADVANCE" has a very distinct style to it.  Most fakes can't quite pull it off.  That slightly italicized slant.

Cant see the Pokemon games too well, but Minish Cap is blatant.  Looks like generic, typing font, not Nintendo's special logo, also, on the back, look at the quality of the Nintendo name etched into the plastic. Most fakes can't get the oval around "Nintendo" right.

Also, Gameboy is one word.  There is a SMALL space between the E and B on offical products, but it you see it distinctly broken into two words, it's fake.

GB/GBC/GBA games also usually have a two digit number pressed into the label also. Which is easiest to see if you hold the game under a light. If the label is missing such an indentation that's not a good sign either.

Edit: Here is a page that discusses some of the things to look for in fake Pokemon carts.

I think I'm having the same issue ... I believe these to be fake judging from the jacked up "Nintendo" logo and what appears to be the wrong ESRB mark.

I haven't paid for them yet, so any feedback would be great. But in my heart I now feel these to be fake. Which is totally crushing since I need these in my collection

Yeah, I'm slowly getting more and more photos in and adding them to that Photobucket folder ... Some serious fakes there. Especially when you look at the bottom back of the Emerald one I just added.

Also, reading this, I can see where "my" Emerald matches the fake -- http://www.ebay.com/gds/Identify-pirate-GBA-Pokemon-games-/10000000178146398/g.html

Damn, these assholes are getting good at this.

I remember buying a Pokemon Pinball game for GBA a few months after it came out on ebay for real cheap and I couldn't believe the deal I got. One day I looked at the back of the cart and noticed it said "Nintondo" At the time I thought it was a misprint but now I realize it was just a bootleg.
