I was planning to work on a cover for a common bootleg cart, the NES 31 in 1.
Is it tolerated to share this work on this forum?

Yes, you can put bootleg and reproduction covers on the forum.  They just don't typically make it to the main site

Unlicensed games (like Bible Adventures) are on the site.  They are technically as illegitimate as 31 in 1.  Hence why I said "typically".   :D

Unlicenced games are legal where as 31 in 1 are illegal combo carts.

Possible.  And I can't speak for 31 in 1, but in the US, Action 52 was legally sold in stores.  So why was that one OK, but the other multicarts illegal?  And why is Action 52 not welcome on the main site? Again, legally sold in stores.  There's also the Caltron 6 in 1, which was legally sold in stores.

To answer my own question, my guess would be the legal state of gaming at the time - a great deal of Atari games were unlicensed, hell, Intelliviosion even made an add on to play Atari 2600 games.  The NES seems to be the last system where unlicensed games were able to make headway, like Tengen games and Game Genie.

Action 52 was a licensed compilation. Meaning they got the rights to the games on the cart legally and distributed the cart.

The 31-1 was made without permission from the original developers. They was were stolen/pirated and put on a multi cart

case and point  ;D

Action 52 and Caltron 6 in 1 are legal unlicenced manufacturer's own games hence they are accepted to the site.
Why they are not on yet is simply because not hiigh enough quality cover has been made.

31 in 1 is compilation of pirated games Super Mario and such, right?

No, sorry, my intention changed...forget 31 in 1...my new question is why isn't Action 5 or Caltron 6 in 1 allowed on the site...
Which Arseen has since answered.
The discussion was for principle, not that 31 in 1 should be allowed on the site*

So basically, if it was legally sold in a store, it's ok to be on the main site?

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
