Both are starting points for other cases. Both are their own beasts. |

Shadowfox, have you thought about any departures from the way a UGC is designed when making the NES and derivative cases? In particular, the one thing I really don't like about UGCs is the thin hard edges of plastic you have to grab or push open to get the cases open. And sometimes the corners are the first to chip off. It just feels cheap to me. What if you could make the edges of the case, and especially the area where you open it, more rounded and perhaps more like the DS cases/your GB cases. In fact, somewhat more like the outside of an 8-disc DVD or Blu Ray case. Something a lot more pleasant to open. Just a thought. |

If it's the same dimensions as the UGC I would really like the above suggestion. Just curious as if there is a mock up of this yet. |

I'm torn. NES cases would be dandy. Sega repros would free me from having to hunt down boxed genesis games. My vote is: Whatever you do, PLEASE make the sleeve on your cases sealed more firmly than the UGCs. Every time I have a sleeve break at the edge and become a useless flappy thing it's so disheartening. EDIT: I'm also a little confused, you currently sell NES cart cases on your site. The new NES cases would be exact UGC dimensions or something? |

I'd say SEGA cases. Though I guess I do have a bit of a bias towards Seymor Onion, seeing how I did the art for him and all. ;D Still . . . His projected date was Fall, and after all the R&D for your NES cases (Judging by the GB cases time) it would probaly stick the release date around there. And SEGA cases would have less R&D, because you are basically remaking something that already exists. With some improvements. Plus, there are less variants to SEGA games and manuals (To my knowledge). Not as many unofficial games. And you would save many sport games from loosing there homes. :D And they would work for Famicom games as well. |
