I'm going to need both and eventually you will make both cases.

(Don't kill me for what i'm getting ready to say BadChad and Azarkhel ;)  )

Even though i'm more excited about the prospect of Genesis cases, i think you will make your money back faster with NES cases. The most common complaint about UGCs for housing NES games is the legwork of modifying the cases. I would imagine NES covers/cases are one of the best sellers on Shadowfox's site. I believe he could make his money back quicker by selling the NES cases to our community AND the customers that visit his site.

Its no secret NES collecting is more prominent than Genesis collecting. I'd rather see NES cases w/ Shadowfox selling out in 2 months ready to move on the Genesis cases than making Genesis cases first and having to wait 5 months.

Food for thought

EDIT: I started writing this before Shadowfox put up the latest results from the poll. It looks like my prediction seems to be correct  ;)

I don't mind hang tabs because those who don't want them can bend them and break them off.  However, it would be nice to know how much more it would cost to add a hang tab and whether or not it would make it more difficult to pack them into shipping boxes.  Personally ,I hate those damn hang tabs, but I'm sure as hell not going to break them off my original Sega cases. ;)
Agreed. I see no point in having them. OK, it's to look as close as the original as possible, but they serve no real purpose besides wasting more plastic. :(

Anyway, I'd need over 100 Sega cases from the get-go. And maybe more in the future. :)

I second that ... I will be first in line to order some of those NES cases, Genesis on the other hand, I would probably wait around for quite a while.

LOL! So apparently someone in Brazil just whacked out my poll. (69 answers, all from Brazil, all say 1000+ for SEGA)  ::)

That is funny.

I thought this as well.... until I went into my local game store and saw that they actually had the SEGA cases hanging on a wall from their tabs and I noticed that the prices for those games were about $5-ish more. than thier loose copy. But besides that, I don't see the point, but people WANT original.  ;D

If that's one person (which I suspect it is) - I think they need to own up.  They are risking someone else's money here.  If they need almost 7000 cases, why not make their own cases.

I figured this would be divided pretty evenly.  I'm glad that I'm not the one making the official call.

Best of luck Shadowfox. ;D
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Has anyone posted this poll over at Nintendo Age and Sega Age? Poll count is kinda low. And if the results from this poll are mostly all from TCP, we're missing out on the votes of many potential outside buyers who may be interested.
