Is it really that easy to do sega repro cases? In europe we at least had four different styles of cases / cart holders with different spine thickness as well....
2 + 3 = 23

Personally, I would say Sega even though I wouldn't need more than about 20 cases right now.

I say this because, even though I need about 200+ NES cases, I don't want UGC sized NES cases and that's what I see everyone else wanting.

The true question is if you make genesis cases will they have the tabs?

Perfect replicas, with maybe additional options for fitting special carts, so yes tab is there

And my vote is UGC replacement cases that fit big NES/SNES/N64/Jaguar manuals.

Sega.

These cases would fit genesis, megadrive, master system and famicom games perfectly.

I NEED 200 from the get go.  There are already a lot of solutions out there for nes - you're going to have to persuade a lot of people to move away from those.  I think the sega clams will shift faster.

I won't be needing any nes cases for some time.  If at all.

Sega, ones that fit the Master System, MegaDrive/Genesis, and 32x. It's so hard to find good condition cases for a decent price now days.  As for the NES, it would be nice to have those too but it seems we are starting to get a bunch of those type of cases lately and that's wonderful news :)

Some good points have been raised here and it begs another question:  If you go with Sega cases, how will they be designed?  I know a lot of people say they should be identical to the originals.  The problem with that is not all of the originals were the same.  And offering different versions of the Sega case will be expensive.  I know people will disagree with me, but in my opinion, the Sega cases need to be "universal" enough to hold Master System, Genesis, 32x, and EA games all in the same case.

I don't mind hang tabs because those who don't want them can bend them and break them off.  However, it would be nice to know how much more it would cost to add a hang tab and whether or not it would make it more difficult to pack them into shipping boxes.  Personally ,I hate those damn hang tabs, but I'm sure as hell not going to break them off my original Sega cases. ;)
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Just having the cart holder grip on left, right and bottom sides, leaving the top open would allow for taller carts like EA and code masters j-carts, and still fit genesis, master system and famicom. (Msx also I think! and 32x)

I wouldn't be interested in Clamshells that hold EA carts. Those ones can be found all over the place. I'm mostly interested in as close to sega oem as possible.
