Okay, so I have come to this cross road...  :P

I have people on both sides wanting my next mould to be either 1 of 2 cases.

Either the NES UGC-like cases, or the SEGA Clamshell repro cases.

And on one of the threads several of you had great ideas to spread the word of the Gameboy case to other sites in order for me to gather my funds and bust out the next mould.

Well this morning the factory e-mailed me and asked when I was going to start the next mould, my replay was "When I get 50% of the mould cost so I can give you a down" They e-mailed me back and will be looking to see if they will "over look" the 50% down requirement so they can at least start on the creating part. (We will know more HOPEFULLY tonight) <-- This does not really help me in the long run, because I will still owe the same $$$ but it WILL save time and make these cases come out faster.

In the mean time...... I need to figure out which one of these 2 cases is going to be the next mould.

Personally: I like the idea of the NES cases, I am comfortable in ordering 10,000 of these at a time just due to the fact I would be able to move them myself through my site.

However, there seems to be a TON of guys saying that the SEGA Clamshell will sell much, much better and that it's market is MASSIVE compared to the NES case's market.

SO! I have created this here "survey" (Actually a Poll) below.

The nifty thing about this is that the below Poll is a LINK! PLEASE feel free and post this link EVERYWHERE! All the different sites ya'll are associated with, Facebook, friends, the works. I am REALLY hoping that this Poll will really show me if one of these cases is far superior then the other.

SEGA!!

Sega fans, (Like me), want a case that exactly replicates the original(s), at the moment were stuck searching for old cases, with all of the pitfalls that come with it, brand new replicas would sell much more than another NES case!

Well shit.

I, personally, want NES way more.  Yeah, there's Bitboxes but they're not my style and are much bigger than current offerings.  But I have to agree that I think the market for Sega clamshells is bigger.

Ugh, this is gonna be a tricky poll to answer, I gotta think.

Unfortunately I am not the target for either of these, but I can offer a bit of suggestion. Both of these have a very large benefit for existing. Genesis currently had little specific replacement for their boxes, though they don't need nearly as much replacement, whereas NES is very dedicated towards a lot of box protectors but needs them a lot more often.

Genesis is filling more of a niche, whereas with NES, it would be a competitor which - if well priced - could turn a good dollar for you. If you can make it a lot more cheaply than others, NES would definitely be the way to go. Genesis specific cases are far less needed, but I'm sure there are people who will be willing to put up with a lot for replacements. Best of either way! Wish I got in on it when the Gameboy stuff was going around.

I'll be happy with whatever the majority want on this one, as my Genesis and NES collections are both fairly small. That being said, I did recently have to scrounge around for cleaner/nicer Sega clamshells for some of my newer acquisitions. Since my NES games are currently in BitBoxes, my own vote goes to Sega.

It’s definitely difficult to answer.  I’ve been supporting NES cases for a while now because I’m tired of modifying UGC cases.  With that said, there is a lot of competition for NES cases.  Bit boxes don’t require modification, but since they are more expensive, they don’t seem to sell as well as UGCs.  In other words, unless you are absolutely sure you can sell your NES cases for less than a UGC, you should probably go with the Sega cases first.

Either way, I’m sure I will be making an order of 50 to 100.

Good luck.  ;D
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Honestly, since I have no problem finding in box genesis games, or at the very least replacement shells for them, I would have to say NES.  I'll vote in the poll, as well.

Man that's a tough one, but I'll have to vote for NES. All of my Genesis games are in clamshells. But NES games are the only ones sitting out in the cold... naked. They need cases. So I vote NES!

I'd have to Genesis clamshell on this one.
While the argument may be made that more games in the wild have boxes, they tend to be ratty and are either missing instructions or they have gotten mangled too ore the years.

It would also be nice to store Sega Master System games as well as 32X games, Mega Drive games and even the freakishly odd Electronic Arts games.

NES games already get a lot of love with UGC's pretty much designed around them and let's not forget those stunning new ones that are out now from Stone Age Gamer!

Yes I'd vote in a poll, and I'd vote SEGA!!!

Sega. There's no other option available to compete and you'd have the repro guys buying bulk from you as well. Getting the word out is key.

For me I would say NES.  I have nearly 400 games that are in need of cases.

I'm on the fence to be honest.

I'm going to need a couple hundred of each and i don't really have a preference which i need first.  :-\
