Thanks Geo but I actually have really good high quality scans for those already.........its just they will be really fiddly and awkward like these 2 Kirby ones for you.

I will get round to them as I want the games and making the covers will be an incentive for me to finally pony up the cash to buy them.

Right, been wanting to make this cover for a loooooong time, as I just love and MUCH prefer the SFC artwork over the PAL and NTSC-U releases, as usual.

And I found a fantastic high res scan of the original oil painting that the SFC front cover was taken from! so very much enjoyed using and cleaning up that so it looks amazing........so much so, that I had to break my usual format in terms of borders, and just use up the whole front cover with that image and overlay the SFC text ontop of it.

Thanks man.......and the head there was just me wanting to replace the Contra logo as I didnt want or think it would look good to have the main one, the then a smaller right next to it in that black box, RIGHT NEXT to the logo being on the spine again (as that section there with the black bar at the bottom is the original spine that I like to incoporate into the cover image to make one big image, like I had done with Super Metroid, Zelda etc).

I can easily add that logo back in though, or put something else there that you would prefer?, and then re-upload as an alternate if you would like?......how about a simple flaming Contra "C" instead?

Let me know and Ill do that right away as it will take 2 minutes.

Well just for fun I switched up the black box here with the original/retail look of it having the Contra logo there, then with a cool looking simple Contra logo and then just the C.

Hope you like one of them, and if not then just let me know what you would like and Ill stick that in there.

Really sorry Antwon, I keep seeing your replies to me and I KEEP forgetting to get back to you!!! damn my infinitely distractable mind! 

Anyway, I meant to say to you that I vastly over estimated the quality of the scans I found for it, so it is taking longer to clean up than I originally thought (as well how I get distracted by other things in life, other covers, and, well......everything).......maybe I even did mention that to you? lol.

I will have another crack at it tomorrow and post back in here with where I am at with it.

In the mean time, if you have any really good scans of it then let me know and that will speed things up a lot!

Right, wanting to do a "Mel" here and post a work in progress (or WHIP) just to prove to Antwon that I am not some useless swine who says he is doing stuff when he isnt!  ............I think he deserves it after all my assurances I will have his Pocky and Rocky cover done soon.

So, here is what I have so far..........man is it a bastard..........trying to get rid of all the blemishes and imperfections from the front has taken an absolute age! but I am finished with it now and although its not perfect, I think it kind of has a canvas look to it with how its ended up.

Also, I have an alternative piece or art for the front cover that I will also make a cover out of, so you will have 2 covers when I am done Antwon! but dont worry, that front is finished as well but I am saving that for the big reveal.

Now, just get the spine done and then onto the back..........which SHOULD be relatively Ok.

Hopefully have it for you tomorrow or Saturday...........hope this teaser makes you feel better about waiting for me to finish it for you.
