July 2014 Pick Ups Thread

[Megatron]

Just had a Craigslist pickup.  This lot was priced pretty low and I ended up in a bidding war with another interested buyer.  What I ultimately suggested was we split the load, and the other buyer agreed.
So the entire lot cost me $100.  All in all, pretty damn good.

I got my Invader Zim figures in and opened up.

I also watched all the episodes on the DVDs I got, the show is still great, holds up better than other Nicktoons or Cartoon Network Shows.
I think it's on Netflix.

A few things I picked up from last week till now:


Genesis:
- Castlevania Bloodlines Box: Already had the Cart and manual for this one. Was happy to swap my printed cover with an original one!
- De-cap Attack CIB: Replaced my cart only copy with a CIB copy!
- Gunstar Heroes Manual: Already had the cart and box, but was missing the manual. Now she's complete!
- Mighty Morphing Power Ranger  - The Movie Manual: Same as Gunstar Heroes. Was missing the manual.
- Predator 2 CIBish: Bought this from a local listing under the assumption it was CIB, then got home and opened it up to find out it had a photocopied manual... Bummer!
- Steel Empire CIB: Love this game! Grabbed a loose manual for this for $4, then bought a in box copy to complete it. Ended up saving myself a few bucks from the standard CIB price too!

N64:
- Mario Party 2 & F-Zero X: Grabbed from a buddy who decided to part with his collection!

NDS:
- Adventure Time - Hey Ice King! Why'd you steal our garbage?!: Not a bad game, a little on the easy side. But feels like it borrows a lot of inspiration from Zelda II! I also enjoy the show...

PS3 & Wii:
- Muramasa - The Demon Blade CIB & Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition CIB: Just traded these two for a extra repro copy of Mega Man - The Wily Wars I had!

One of my favorite parts of collecting is finding a missing manual for a boxed game.

Went downtown because my Internship boss had a new project for me.
Stopped at GoodWill on my way back, I got the 3 games for $3 each and Forest Gump VHS for $.50, My friend Matt loves this movie, this is the 5th Gump VHS i bought him form GoodWill. I also got in a brief conversation with a guy who liked my Black Sabbath shirt.
After that, I stomped at McDonalds and got some food and some Mario Kart 8 toys. They were $0.73 or something, $2.20 for all 3 they had.

I've had a few this month so far.

Firstly got some Jap Saturn games and a 3DO classic. Only really wanted Gale Racer for the Saturn so the others were a bonus.




Then I got some GBA bits. 50p each so couldnt say no.




Then I picked this up yesterday. Missus wanted it and it was reasonably priced so thought why not. Really impressed with it actually. Didn't realise it plays Wii games too so my actual disc games are now useful again (my Wii has no optical drive anymore).






Finally I got this today. Got absolutely fed up with my HP all-in-one as it has ridiculously expensive genuine cartridges and I have had so much trouble with reman's recently. The last four I have bought either haven't had a colour working correctly or wouldn't be recognised. Anyway, I got this as my mate has a similar one and said they're good. Individual cartridges so no need to replace them all if one colour runs out. I got this brand new from Tesco for £45.
