Can it really be considered a pick-up if I made them myself?

Currently working on a lot more! Mega Man, Scrooge McDuck, etc....

---

On another note, I did finally grab a GameCube with 2 controllers (Black / Silver), all the cables, Game Boy Player (w/ Start Up Disc), plus Super Mario Sunshine for $45 at a local shop that usually has nothing but crap.

are those coasters?

Why thank you! Now I know why people selling these at conventions charge so much money ... they are such a time hog.

Somewhat good pick ups today at Local game store!

66$ for this lot + Super Adventure Island 2 with cartridge back in rough shape but label is mint! (which is not pictured yet)

Batman was 6$ brand new at target!
Castlevania and Donkey Kong 40$ --- for both and they are my first 3ds game. Hope they are good!
God of war 10$ ---was the last one i needed to complete the series, first time i saw it this cheap, so went for it.
And Super Adventure Island 2 10$ --- complete my snes series and was dirt cheap compared to what i see it normally :)

Can't complain about my local store, he normally price thing quite at the value of ebay but sometime i can find gems cheaper! And i save on shipping hehe!
Now if only my thrift store was any good for games....
New NES TCP Cover Mediafire : Right here!

Well I haven't posted here in a while but figured I'd share this one from last Thursday. Wasn't going to make my usual weekly thrift store rounds but decided I better. Good thing I did, got these for the prices marked. Theres one gem in there a tad bit better then the other two I'd say.

Ahhhhhh drooling over your savers pickups!

My best ever pick up from a thrift store here was... Coraline for ps2...LOL

Im jealous, my thrift store sucks!

I will say to never expect these things when you go. I've been hitting these thrifts for a good 1.5 years weekly and sometimes twice a week and this has been the 2nd or 3rd time I've had a big find. Although one was more quantity rather then value (load of decent NES games and Atari games at a different thrift). My other big value find was at a different thrift I stop at, had a big box of Commordore 64 games and I found Wasteland in mint condition which was selling for $100-150 at the time, it's cooled off a tad bit now.

Heres some pics of those two finds.

Nothing will beat my best yard saling find which was this lot though, included games like Megaman 2, 4, TMNT: Tournament Fighters, etc.

The stuff is out there, you just gotta be persistant.

Will update with pics later but went to Half Price Books for the first time last night.

The game section is really well kept and surprisingly very reasonably priced for some titles. I got

Final Fantasy 8 (Greatest Hits) CIB - 9.99
Dynasty Warriors 3 - $3 [not the greatest deal but I love DW and have been looking for this]

If you have never been to a HPB and are looking to find some games these places know how to deal it seems. They price the usual stuff at higher prices (Mario, Zelda) but everything else is priced under VGPC prices at least at my location.

Not only does HPB price there stuff semi-reasonable but if you sign up for their mailing list they occasionally send coupons for up to 50% off that can be used on games. They don't have the best selection but I stop by every once in a while and find something.

The major city closest to me there's 5 half priced books, so when we see the 50% coupons, wife and I make a shopping trip.

Also grumble grumble at C-64 games, I think I might start getting into them.  I finally decided to count them all in my game collector program so now I'm about 30 games shy of breaking my 2,000 mark.

I don't collect C-64, I honestly only bought them at the time to flip.

I spent $70 on e-Reader cards over the past day or two, someone please stop me.

Got this for $25
I'm going to sell off the e-Reader and DK JR. cards. I now have an almost complete starter pack. Minus the Pokemon cards, I do not care much for them.

No pictures yet as the auction just ended 8 hours ago, but I just acquired Jack Bros (US) with manual for the Virtual Boy.  My US Virtual Boy collection is now complete!  ;D

Chances are good I'll eventually get the JP V-Tetris since it's not like you need to speak Japanese to play Tetris... might even some day dip into the homebrew for the system (though I already have the Flashboy+ flash cart for it).  It's just such an unloved system and such a tiny library, but I really enjoy (most of) the games for it.  Wario Land is awesome, and I'm looking forward to playing Jack Bros for real-real now.
Attempting a complete NTSC-U NES set.  Sell me your games!
Click for What I've Got.  253/677 licensed games, 39/95(??) unlicensed

I've been looking into getting a VB recently, but I haven't justified spending the money on one yet.
I saw a few reasonably priced ones a few days ago on eBay, but I did not have any money in my Paypal.
I got to play one at my local retro games store.

I remember playing a store display Virtual Boy as a child. That scarred me for life and has kept my interest in ever owning one at absolute zero.

No pictures tonight since I'm lazy.

But I did receive Pokemon Trading Card Game 2 and a boxed japanese version of dragon quest/warrior 3 in the mail today.

Just snap bought Pokemon Ruby, Fire Red and Emerald boxed for 110. Seems like a lot but recently a fire red went for $170 on Aussie eBay. With Ruby selling for hopefully $70-80 (as I already have one) and me selling my cart copy of emerald for $30, I should recoup my expenditure :D
