Awesome, I will continue to buy more rare boxes and scan it this way. Thanks.

Which reminds me...........any movement with The Great Battle V?

Ohh and I need to make a request thread for Star Soldier Vanishing Earth NTSC-J N64........as I have searched high and low for anything approaching decent images for that and cannot diddly squat.

That scan is coming again as last time, we broke the bargain for shipping. Sorry.

Not sure what you mean? you had to buy it AGAIN!!?? that would be the 3rd one right?

But then your post reads like you "broke" the......disagreement? over shipping?

Dont apologise man, none of this has been your fault! just a crazy streak of bad luck.

By the way, I havent quite finished the front of Legend and I am lagging badly here tiredness wise.......so going to bed and will hopefully finish it tomorrow.

Take your time.

Arseen, is that scan quality good enough? If yes, I will continue to scan the SNES boxes in that quality.

Might and magic is good, but Legensd was too smalll DPI.

Thank you.

Holy crap!!........I just realised that the DPI of the Legend scans is 72!!!  :o

Im really confused, as to me it looks amazing and far better than even some 300dpi scans I have worked from.........it certainly is easier to work with right now, especially text's.

I think we should try and always work with JPEG files now, as obviously they display the DPI very easily in properties........but PNG's do not (which I completely forgot about).

Banisher - you have sent me many scans of course, a lot of the recent ones were 600dpi which is of course perfect. Super Batter Up and various others have been that, and I assumed Legend was the same (despite being a PNG instead of a JPEG like the others were) as it looks so good.

You could tell it from the size of the image, and paint tells the DPI.

Ahh, you have inadvertently answered a question I was going to ask........as I could not find any answers to googling "how to determine the DPI of a png" until you said that!

So thanks man, still find it weird though that the resolution is THAT low (96dpi) and yet I am finding it fine to work with.

Ohh well, once Ive cleaned it all up it will be 300dpi in the final image.

The only thing I don't like is the grey outline/shadow on the logo spine/rear.  Try it with black, or outer glow in a dark colour rather than grey drop shadow.

You mean the sword?

That is not actually added after dropshadow but part of the logo.

I ripped and cleaned the logo from the front cover.
You can see it if you look carefully at the front logo.

EDIT: After looking it more closely the is excess halo around the shadow of the logo... but I like it.
I can try making alternate with shadow halo removed.

Oukkeli doukkeli.

I won't submit (just add it... ;)) it yet, as I'm not quite happy with it yet.

Legal text, drop shadow, dirt.

So until then this is just placeholder.

Final placeholder version.
Cover will be added to the site permanently once perfect front image is found.
This cover has the back and spine logos I prefer, so if you prefer the other ones just just copy/paste the legal text of this cover to the other cover in my previous post.
I might redo the logos when the front image is replaced.

In case you want to make a true NTSC-U Vertical Retail, as promised (although a day late), here is the front of Legend all filtered up and clone stamped the hell out of it.
