Super Famicom covers

Great job on those Fire Pro covers! I had wanted to convert them to my template myself but was a little unsure of how to go about it since their layouts didn't necessarily lend themselves to a very straightforward conversion.

I have a few slight issues with the covers made with my template however... I'm not sure if they are simply creative decisions on your part or if you're misunderstanding anything about the template, but I want to mention it anyway. First off, both Mario games as well as SFPWS are missing the product code on the bottom of the spine - the Mario games have them around the logo obviously, but when creating the template I would intentionally put them at the bottom for any game, for a consistent, uniform look. Secondly I don't think there's any need for the solid black behind the Super Famicom logo on the top of the spine, I think it really sticks out on the Mario Collection cover, and even worse on the Yoshi's Island one as it obscures part of the spine design. Many of my covers use a solid black background for the entire spine, but for any of them that don't I simple let the background graphics extend throughout the whole spine, and if the "Super Famicom" text under the logo gets obscured or hard to read I'd make it black instead of light grey. You can take a look at my Dragon Quest V and Pilotwings covers for reference, in case anything is unclear.

As for more cover-specific criticism, I'm not thrilled with how the "YOSSY ISLAND" design on the Yoshi's Island cover looks - it's cropped rather awkwardly, with most of the Y missing and plenty of space below the D. I would suggest removing it altogether and recreating it from scratch to fit the proportions of the cover.

Outside of those issues I think you've done a great job, and I'm always happy to see other people using my cover template. :)

Good news for you Cesar! like i've just said in this topic http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=3494.0

I managed to swap a boxed front mission for a boxed Chojiku Yousai Macross - Scramble Valkyrie!! So Good quality scans for this game should become available soon enough. I'll follow the steps on the Scanning guide to get the best quality possible.

BadChad:

Im working on a custom NTSC Cover for my English Front Mission: Gun Hazard cart and was hoping someone here could translate the description on the back of the box to english? It would help out alot.
