I did a little googling and found some Macross stuff that may or may not be helpful. Konachan.com has a couple of Macross wallpapers that may be useable, and there's also this cover for a Macross game for some 80's computer, though I figure that's maybe a little too oldschool.

ah yes, the ten-tens were missing i appologise. as for the font on the side, i'm using gimp, and it actually came up as an image layer, which is why it's different. (i'm not sure why though?) i'll up my psd, but i'm away from home at the moment, so it'll be monday before i get it up.

and as i said, i know it's not perfect, it was just a 'demo' if you will, so i can gather all the feedback you've managed to give, which has all been hugely useful. I think one of my biggest problems here is i don't really know the sources i'm working with very well (and i can't design that well either :/) but we WILL get it done! lol :D

Here's my atempt of doing the cover using all of your comments, advices, and help, what do you think?
I modify a little one of the templates posted here.
Im having issues with the back, the background image, any help would be great.
Also, the cover one, is the raw scan, I dont know how to fix it (copy/pasted from the link with the big computer cover one).
And dont know hjoy to use the software you use to "put it in the case" lol.

I can send the sorce file (PSD) to anone who wants to fix it :)
since I used some materials for the first one posted (like the Samuse logo, and the ingame pictures)

What Akumu made with his template is awesome, specially the back and the labels in front!

He made two posts because he uses two different styles for his cover! This is legit!

Based on Akumu's work I made another one, of course, based on your advices and materials :)
PLEASE, take a look at it and if someone knows how to clean raw scans gimme a link or a hint :P I can send the source file (PSD to whoever thinks it can fix it, since Im not a talented designer and clean the actual raw scans that the cover has). And if he/she is in the mood, feel free to "3d-it" with that preview software that makes cover look awesome =)
I tried to match the back of the cover as close as the original showed in the previos pictures of the box.

here it is:

btw: Akumu, can you send me the first Taekwondo game template? that looks more close to a sfc box and the one with the donald game :)

I didn't use a template, but I made you one really quick. Every part is editable.

I uploaded a new version of my Front Mission Gun Hazard cover, as I noticed a rather embarrassing typo on the back of the box... apologies to anyone who already printed out the first version!

Got a whole slew of covers for various formats scanned recently (raws and more finished covers will be posted eventually - stay tuned), and I just couldn't resist converting this cover to my template.

Starfox

It was really fun to finally get around to making this cover - I actually used a low res scan of the front cover of this game to make the first mockup of this SFC template, so I'm really pleased to be able to make it into a proper cover. I'm pretty happy with how it came out too; like many other covers from Nintendo it was really easy to work with since the dimensions already fit this layout even better than the original SFC boxes. :)

PS. I am still working on the Bahamut Lagoon cover... the front is finished, but since the original is a horizontal cover I have to make the back from scratch which is quite a bit of work. I'll get it done eventually, but in the meantime I might work on a few more covers that are easier to convert and/or more interesting to me personally so I can maintain motivation to work on them. Rest assured it's coming eventually though! Rudra no Hihou, Romancing Saga 3, Shin Megami Tensei II, Chrono Trigger, Terranigma and a few others are in the pipeline as well, but who knows when I'll be able to get all those finished... @_@

That's odd. Well, I reuploaded it, so it should work now.
