So if i have an s-video cable for my original release snes, thats possibly as good as it gets, right? Considering the original has better sound output. The svideo cable i have is a Monster and there is no "screen door" look to it.
If you are unwilling to mod and/or use adapters/upscalers and just want a single plug to go from the SNES to the TV, then yes. Note: Not all original form factor SNESes will have the separate sound module, but the way you said "original release" I assume you know that. There's multiple board revisions in the original SNES, and it's fairly hotly contested whether the original-original SNESes with the separate sound module provide "better" video, or whether the 1CHIP boards (the last ones in the original form factor, same internal chips as the Mini) do.
If you want to use adapters/upscalers, then as Arseen said you can always do RGB SCART to VGA adapter (I'm pretty sure they exist, although I know more TVs in the US are starting to ditch VGA -- then again, faaar more TVs have ditched s-video than have ditched VGA) or a powered RGB SCART to Component/YPbPr adapter, or you can go *REALLY* crazy and buy an X-RGB Framemeister (this is a $500 purchase but will give you the absolute best video possible from all of your retro systems).
If you want to mod, you also have the option of modding the SNES for Component/YPbPr (and, for that matter, DAC to bump up the sound quality).
