Printing full size NES boxes! here is my results/conclusions
<< < (4/5) > >>
Sammickk:
Ordered the pearl, should be here thursday. I DID however, get a decent turn out with the 16 mill glossy photo paper that I have. I found a Technique of scoring it that if you work the fold VERY little bits at a time, it has very minimal cracking. I used a metal ball scorer set that i have using the smaller one I scored 2 lines right beside of each other, and went over them pretty hard and that seemed to turn out much better.

I'll post pics of everything later this evening.
Sammickk:
And Here they are, Gonna upload both  bad and good turn outs so you can see the difference. if i did this  right you should  be able to click the thumbs for full size pics. NOTE: Allot of what looks like flaking on the good one is actually just glare.

good one

bad one

another good turn out.

These two shots  are all my attempts so far, as u can see the Clash and New 8 eyes turned out MUCH better

Here are some of my custom boxes :)

Sammickk:
those look very nice, what paper, printer, etc?
pumanchero:
Regarding the details, I pay a Print Shop -where professional Xerox and Canon laser printers are used- to do my job (IMO the quality is slightly better that the once offered by Time Walk Games for reference). I cut and assemble manually, and this is the trickiest part of the process because cracks can appear if you don't do it right... The paper is matte 230 g/m² A3.
