I've never seen white foam in hobby lobby, only black.  We sure it's the same foam?  White foam sounds like Styrofoam to me.

And for a record, I thought about including a joke about how I can make my own white foam, but I decided not to cross that line.

The little circle in the middle, Right?  ::) :P

i used that one because i like the idea with that photo and didn't find a similar one with the PS1 controller, didn't want to erase the circle because then will be missing the PS logo on the PS1 controller

It's not styrofoam.  It's flexible and easy to cut.  Unfortunately they said they didn't have any other colors.  I'll still probably look for something else since the black looks a lot better.

The one i use is like this

http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/1288667/17909401/0/1293674226/PU_Foam_Sheet.jpg

Use to do this

http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/media/images/products/full/la189_f.jpg

i had to glue two sheet of that foam to get the thickness

That's what I need.  The stuff I have isn't nearly as flexible as that.

I like front A with Back A.

What perfect timing!  I was just getting ready to do the same thing with my PS1 memory cards.  I just picked up some extra jewl cases and foam board.  I also plan to do the same with my Dreamcast VMUs so I picked up some double CD jewel cases as well.  I would also like to make one for my Dreamcast jumper packs (might need TWO double CDs), and microphone.

Would you mind sharing your jewl case inserts for the PS1?  Any chance you would work on Dreamcast versions?

Can you tell me the dimension of the Double CD jewel cases you picked up? ;)

I can double check when I get home, but it should be the same dimensions as the inlay on a regular jewel case, except that there will be two of them.  The double CD jewel case just used two inlays for the front and back sections.  I hope that makes sense.  It's just a traditional double jewel case like the ones used for Gran Tourismo 1 & 2, Resident Evil 2 or Metal Gear Solid ect.

If you need, I can double check the official measurements and post pictures this evening.

I know they make slim double CD jewel cases (like Code Veronica for the Dreamcast), but I needed the fat cases because I'm trying to fit VMUs inside of them.  Even the double jewel cases will need some modification to fit the VMUs inside.  Hoepfully I can start working on that tonight.  I'm excited about this small project. ;D
