Scanner\Printer review thread?

Have we ever had a thread for reviews\recommendations of printers\scanners? I know my brother scanner, while amazing for documents with the feeder, sucks unbelievable amounts of balls as a flatbed scanner. It's got about one inch on all sides of the glass it can't scan. So to compensate, I used some plywood stripts I cut with a straight, square edge on them. Use them to line up an object, and boom, crooked scan. Scan same item again, and it's at a different angle. And scan quality was kind of questionable anyways.
Arseen:
All Canon printer/scanners seem to do good job at scanning boxes.
Mine is cheapest one I could find: MP190, it was 40 or 50 Euros new.

I have an HP Envy 4502 from Wal Mart. The print quality is actually pretty good for the covers, but I go through ink like CRAZY.
Spoonman:
I used to print covers at my old job. They had a large HP printer. I have no idea what model it was, but the quality for covers was fantastic. I have a huge collection that looks perfect now.
So I'm looking to buy a new printer. Last one I had was a Cannon, but now thinking HP. Anyone have any recommendations?

I have an HP 3050, it was like $40 at Target a couple years ago so I don't even know if they still sell it. Anyway, I'm pretty happy with the print quality and the ink is fairly inexpensive compared to the last printer I had (Lexmark). If you are looking to scan covers it's pretty mediocre. Canons seem to be best for that.
