Shadowfox has done a fantastic job creating a case that suit our GB/GBC/GBA storage needs. I feel like there needs to be a thread where all good looking covers for GB/GBC/GBA should be posted to compliment these awesome cases. IMO and no offense to the creators of them but the covers with the black "Game Boy" spines are the not very appealing and I definitely prefer the silver spines, but it seems that there isn't a spot where all of them gather. I have seen tons of growth in larryinc64's 3DS Covers for GB/GBC/GBA and they look really good looking and uniform. Unfortunately they are for 3DS cases (duh) Larry has converted some of his to fit DS cases but it would be sweet if we had one specific template (whether its Larry's or Shenske's or whoever) for the Nintendo handhelds like we do for SNES and N64 verticals and tried to get every cover made in this specific templete.

Has anyone else felt this way?

There is Game boy cover topic, but people tend to post their covers in their own topics so they get spread and lost across the boards.

And all perfect covers get posted to the actual site eventually.

As for black vesus silver spine logo, I too prefer the silver one and adding that to black logo covers is simple copy paste job anyone can do in MS Paint (or other basic art program).

Yeah,

I just feel like Shenske's and Larry's covers just stand out as high quality and look the best on the shelf. but they haven't made all of the covers. But it is just my opinion I suppose.

  • Quote me not.
I'm one who prefers the black spine. But as Arseen mentioned, it's just a copy paste job in MS Paint. Besides, I usually spot clean any cover before I print it so it's no big deal to spend a few more seconds on it.

When I first introduced the silver spine i had some trouble getting the "group's" approval. Everyone was VERY deadset on the black spines.

I made the silver spine versions with the exact same size spine logos AND made sure to still make "normal" black spine versions too. I think it grew on people and I'm glad you like the style  :)

I made my template to fit in with Shenske's  template.

While not exact, the logo placement is the same. The front and back are different, to lower the amount the art is stretched. But on the shelf it should fit in well.
Most template changes could be made in Paint.

I might make a version of my template closer to the older template, If anyone wants it.
