I had some games several month ago from a friend for free and Need for Speed Underground 2 came without the CD just manual, Case and cover, so i bought the game.

and Gountlet Legends i had it like a year ago, it came The case, CD and Back and interior art work but it didn't came with manual so i had to buy one  ;D

Ok so I took away the "warranty avoid...... " sticker (the silver one on the photo) on the cd and that sticker was hiding a note on the cd that I haven't see in any other cd, it says "Part of a set, not for individual return or exchange ". Can someone tell me why is this note in the cd?

My pickups so far for the month. Hakuoki, I got for $30 as the Limited Edition from a friend who was disappointed with the LE and offered it, couldn't say no as it retails for $59.99 and the game wasn't even opened (yet).

The Datach Famicon game set I got for $30 w/shipping. It's pretty much NIB. Still has the "fresh plastic" smell even though it's over 20 years old. Quite excited about this as I've always wanted to play the games it has.

And finally, a trip to Goodwill again. This time they had some Wii games. Nothing great, but I couldn't walk away from these two titles at $3 each.

I'm not really one to buy or collect cartridge games but I couldn't pass these up.

Tetris and monopoly were 5 bucks each.  Boxes not in the best of shape but I haven't owned a boxed nes game since back in the day before my mom had me throw out the boxes :(  Tetris even has the little foam insert to hold the cartridge up but monopoly doesnt.

Doa 1 and 2 ultimate was 5 for both.

Can someone tell me if this is some sort of demo, or does it comes with another cd or it's a special edition or anything else, why this cd comes with this  "Part of a set, not for individual return or exchange " sign. I have checked photos from another CDs and all of the photos appear without that sign.

I don't own a PS2  to try it, that's why I'm asking, thanks for any help.

Most of the time games that come with a "not for individual sale" type thing are either part of a system bundle or a game bundle...a bit of searching and I found this

Chances are it was probably from a set like that.

I over did it a bit this week end.  First flea market I've been to in ages.  Didn't find crap, a total of maybe 5 carts I might have been interested in, but none rare, and not worth asking the price on.  There was a TI-99 outside for sale, I didn't ask before I went inside the building, just to see what else I'd find, and when I came back out the vendor was closed up due to rain.  So all this was from a game store here, good will, and a half-priced books.

At 1,631 now in the collection, I've got to stop buying cheap games and start casing what I have.

It's been a long time since I posted anywhere on TCP, but got a decent pick up today and have a question for the experts.

Went to my local store today where I know the owner and he always gives me decent deals.  Picked up this loot for about $20:

Reason it was pretty cheap is because that Mario Advance 4 isn't working, but neither of us could figure out why, so he basically gave it to me to see if I can fix it.

We both had never seen the problem it's giving us.  When the game powers up, the Gameboy logo appears with the Nintendo logo on the bottom, and then the screen goes to white and just stays there.  He said he cleaned it up a few times in the store, gave the pins some alcohol swipes, but can't get it to work.  I'm surprised too because the label looks really good, and the cart doesn't look like it's been abused or anything.  Anybody got any tips on what I can try to get it working again?  Do I need to open it up?

And if I need to move this conversation to a new thread please let me know :)

open it up make sure there's nothing blatant, like chip missing with a note that says "HAHA, SUCKER" on it.
