When I started my N64 collection I went with the regular horizontal covers here on TCP simply because not all of my games had the vertical covers available, and I was just lazy and didn't want to make them myself. (HUGE thank you to those that do take the time to do all of these)

After a while of looking at my shelves with the NES. SNES, and N64 games all sitting side by side, I realized I wanted my N64 games to match the same look of the NES and SNES (vertical) spines I was using. So instead of recreating all covers in the vertical format I simply took the horizontal covers already here on the site, and re-worked them a bit adding a vertical style spine to them, as you can see with Super Smash Bros.

They look really good sitting on the shelf since all you can see is the spine anyway, they fit right in with the NES and vertical SNES covers I have.

These are literally the exact same as the regular horizontal covers (size, details, etc...) just with a different spine, and a few minor tweaks here and there to keep them consistent.

https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzLa9fgZNcqQSTF1SzI1Wm9neE0&usp=sharing <-- That is a link to my Google Drive folder where I am putting all my custom N64 covers. They aren't all done, as I don't have a complete collection. I am just putting this here incase people want to use them.

Feel free to request one if you like them, if not, it's cool no big deal. Just another option for people   :)

Wow, this is very nice, I like it!

I'm using the vertical templates because I didn't like the horizontal retail spine on a shelf, but your template brings the best of both worlds :)

I am running into the same issue.
I like how the spines look on the shelf, but not all of my games have the vertical cover.
Great idea, they look awesome!!!

Thanks guys ... I'll post a picture of them all lined up once I get them all swapped out.

They have all been cut, just sitting on my desk waiting for me to quit being lazy and swap em out :) haha

Here is some all lined up. A few more to go, but you get the idea. The nice vertical style spine, but horizontal artwork.

I like it. I probably would have kept the top part of the spine red, otherwise they are beautiful. If all my N64 covers weren't already printed out, I'd copy you.

Yeah, I fought with whether or not to do that since the format here is like that, but instead went with black. For me it was just to match the NES and SNES covers I have as well.

I hear ya on reprinting them. I almost didn't do it since I had all the horizontals of them printed and already in place. Luckily though for me, I can print them off at work on a decent paper and it doesn't cost me a dime. Just my personal time and effort.

those are some sweet looking cases. the black contrasts nicely with the rest of the spine.

Why thank you :)

The red top section was too over bearing for my personal taste. Especially sitting next to NES and SNES games.

I much prefer this more classic layout for the boxes. Don't quite understand the appeal of scrunching artwork and everything. I find the red label to be a bit garish, but I think that's more Nintendo's design decision than your own. You certainly won't mess up what you're picking out! Good work.

Thanks! I have added a few more plus the PSD for the spine to that folder should anyone want to use them :)
