I don't get it. They have a perfectly good controller for the Wii/WiiU, so why is this at all necessary or even desirable? ???  In fact, I personally feel that the pro controllers are a lot better than the GCN controller, which is honestly my least favorite Nintendo controller ever.

I completely agree about the GCN controller.  The button layout never felt right for me.  The anaolog sticks are good and the trigger buttons are excellent, but the A, B, X, Y layout is a major fail.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

For the Generation that played SSBM more than SSB, this is a godsend. I've spent so many hours playing the gamecube that the controller feels perfect to me. I cannot get used to the Classic Controller Pro's button layout and it just doesn't feel right. Nintendo made the right call on this one, especially if they have GC VC games coming... They're sitting on a goldmine.

That's a good point. Just because I don't like the GCN controller, doesn't mean they shouldn't make an adapter to use it on the Wii U.  To each their own.  Personally, I think the Playstation layout is the best I've ever used.  I wouldn't mind if adapters existed to allow me to use it on other consoles.

I wonder if it's possible to play SNES VG games using SNES pad with this and SNES to NGC adapter.

So you are saying an SNES controller plugged into an SNES to NGC adaptor plugged into a NGC to WII U adapter plugged into a Wii U.

I just went cross-eyed. :P

I get what you are saying though...... I'm wondering too.
