Variations in the new UGC batch

It's been mentioned a few times that the space for the cover is slightly shorter and requires trimming the printed cover, but it seems that it's not the only variation in the new batch.

The first thing that I noticed is the different texture of the wrapping sleeve. It's a bit more embossed. At the same time, it feels thinner.. so in the end, of less quality. The texture may also hide a bit of details in the cover, but that may just be me.

It also looks like the curving on the back is even more prominent. I tried a N64 cart and it didn't move as much as in an earlier UGC. It is almost tight.

Anybody else noticed the same thing?

I noticed the same things.  The covers need to be slightly trimmed up lengthwise.  The measurement of 11.22" is no longer accurate.  However I found that wiggy's covers fit perfectly with no extra trimming required. I believe his are 11.063", but the new batch of cases are somewhere in between 11.22 and 11.063.

The curving is definitely more prominent as well, causes a slight distortion in the cover too.

Yup, I started casing games right as the newer cases came to market and I immediately noticed that the existing covers don't fit properly

There is enough variation with the production of UGC's that each of my shipments has been slightly different. The second batch that I got a few months ago had the warped back cover, while the newest order that arrived last week has the rougher textured sleeve cover.

Overall the differences have been minute enough to me that I just don't care.
