Hi guys, have a question about ps1. I'm playing Gran Turismo on ps1 and every time I hit another car or a wall the analog from my controller goes off, why this happens???

Thanks for any help

Considering the PS1 had two iterations of the Analog controller (The SCPH-1180 controller, and the more common DualShock controller), does the controller you're using have a rumble pack?

It's possible that when you're hitting a car, it's trying to run the rumble motor and something is happening to short the controller out. Can you try with another game that supports rumble and see if it also happens? Do you have another DualShock controller to test with as well?

Yes it has rumble pack, and only happens with one of my two controllers, with other games is the same

Sounds like a problem with your one controller. I logged hundreds of hours with the original GT using the Dualshock and never heard of this problem. Maybe a loose connection within the controller?

If I remember correctly, the original DS controller had a button to turn on/off the analog sticks. Maybe when the controller rumbles it somehow effects that connection? I don't know, just a stab in the dark.
