ALL N64 NTSC Covers have been downloaded. ->>  For Download here http://1drv.ms/1qTrxmJ

Just wanted to put this out there for some consideration.  I know a lot of people love the UGC's and they are good, but I feel like there is ALOT of wasted space and "air" in those cases.  I recently purchased the http://www.videogameboxprotectors.com/ plastic sleeves that hold cartridges for the N64.  I have an entire cart-only set, and wanted them to look nice, but don't have a TON of space or cash to put them all in the UGC's. I figured I'd just protect them for now but when I got them I realized that these are great boxes and very clear.. Then I was thinking it would be nice if there was a paper insert on the side so I could see the cartridge name without having to label the case.

So I made the side insert (20mm by 115mm) and it looked good!

Then I was wishing I could see the name on all sides, and the box art, so I shrunk it down into a box that I could slide into and out of the protector. Also looked good..

Then I figured, heck, I could almost make this look like a mini retail box!

Then I added another spine and rotated the N64 on each spine so it would look good one way on a shelf, and the other way if in a drawer, but I wouldn't need to print another cover if I wanted to change it..

After Printing..

Does anyone else share my love for this?  This is a MUCH cheaper alternative to the UGC and you get pretty much the same effect without all the extra space hogging!!  I'm thinking the 2 Spine version with the front and back box art is the best because you can get 2 per page when you print.

Anyone want to convert boxes with me?  I still have to download all the UGC covers, but I'm willing to spend the time to do that and upload to OneDrive for a collaborative effort.

Here are the templates..

Let me know your thoughts!

On a side note, I also developed a template that would allow you to print a BOX on card stock that you could fold to house your cartridge INSTEAD of purchasing the Video Game Box Protector sleeves.. If anyone is interested in that it's in the same folder as the templates...

I thought about doing this for  box protectors for my n64 and atari/coleco games.  Are the box/cart protectors  pretty sturdy?

I love it.  If all the games I had were converted to this format I would so change from UGC's to these- simply for space reasons.  Because then I could get more games!!!

I personally like the idea. Great job!

Yes, they are and aren't.. They are great for protecting the cartridge, and keeping them from scuffing. But they aren't anywhere near as sturdy as a UGC.
