Help with Yoshi's Island

It's also worth noting that many PC boards come with a coating which is meant to prevent moisture from reaching metal components. I think that's part, if not all of what we're seeing. Isopropyl will remove it, which really isn't prudent, and if it is just flux, then there's really no reason to touch it either.

Corrosion on surface mounted components does cause problems. Leftover flux should be cleaned also no point in having it stick around for ages and have it turn brown.
