Don't you just love it when your trying to look for a game and it's just not there? You know you own it, you know you haven't gotten rid of it, and you know you haven't let anyone borrow (eww) it. But yet to no avail it's still missing no matter how many times you've looked for it?

Quite frankly, I don't, and it's pissing me the fuck off...  (OMG I said a bad word!!  :o)

Right now I'm missing 2 games.
TMNT 2 the Arcade Game
And
Castlevania 3 Dracula's Curse

I've already went through all of my NES games now twice... (200+ titles) and I'm getting ready to go through them again. Even more thoroughly.

Sorry I just needed to vent some.

I know those feels. Could you have possibly played it and left it near the console or left it in storage or something?

This is the reason I have 3 copies of Shenmue and 2 copies Romance of the Three Kingdoms VIII :D

Every time I have wanted to replay them in the past I was never able to find my copies (lazy kid with a dirty room  ;D), so I would just rebuy them. I have found all extra copies of those games now and have been slowly selling them off.

I am sure they will turn up soon, palmer

I actually also now it the other way around. When I look through my games and suddenly I have two of the same. US and EU for example. Or even the exact same game. ;D
2 + 3 = 23

Well I finally came across TMNT 2, but still no Castlevania 3.

I looked through them 3 times now.

I'll do some more searching tomorrow as it's 3am now.

I'll also go through all my NES consoles to make sure it's not stuck in one, ask my friend if they have it. Also better go through my paperwork of stuff I sold in the past just to make sure it accidentally didn't get put in with it.

One of my biggest thrills from buying my own house was finally, FINALLY unpacking all of my games and cataloguing them.  I have my whole collection on RFGeneration now, and I keep track of who borrows what (I let very little be loaned out unless it's a duplicate, but I do allow some of it to go).

I was actually pleasantly surprised to find games I didn't even realize I had when I finally unpacked -- FF7 and Xenogears for example.  That was a nice little hundred dollar bill I didn't expect to find (metaphorically of course -- I do not sell games as a general rule, only when I get duplicates)

But yeah.  Now I keep my games separated by system, alphabetical within each system.  Things no longer go missing.
Attempting a complete NTSC-U NES set.  Sell me your games!

That's where I'm at now.  Last house I owned was too small to have my games out, so they've been packed or stuffed away for 5-10 years, and most of it wasn't packed by me.  I've gone through everything now I think, but heck, even after having this house since late October, I'm still finding games in funny places (Scrapyard Dog, Paperboy, Ninja Gaiden for lynx in my plastic shelving for my workshop. Henry and Tiger Casino for Game.com in my game.com.  WHY didn't I check it?!).

For weeks it's been a cycle of "Clean gameroom.  Unbox tangled mess of crap, sort, put in temp spot on shelves, clean game room".

That happened to me with Vandal Hearts for the PS1.  I cound't find it to save my life.  The part that really pissed me off was that I found the case, but no disc.  Eventually I bought another copy because I really love that game.   :-\
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

I had my PS1 games in a binder, and TG-16/Sega CD/Dreamcast/Saturn in a second, and PC in a third.  I thought they were thrown out for a while; was not happy about that.  Was very happy when I found them.

I know this one all too well! I've got a box of NES games that I just can't seem to find ANYWHERE in my home. Among the missing collection are some pretty valuable pieces such as Megaman 5 that I actually loved to play as well. :(

Slowly going through things and taking stuff to goodwill or to the dump, so I'll find them one of these days. :(

After moving I somehow can't find my NES themed GBA SP.  I found my other ones but it's driving me crazy.  On the plus side I found a bunch of Game Cube I didn't know I even owned like Eternal Darkness, Wind Waker and a sealed copy of Fire Emblem!
