Multiple Copies of games - What do you do?
TDIRunner:
eBay and Craigslist are becoming such a hassle nowadays that I usually don't bother. However, I've had good luck listing my duplicates on a trade thread. I traded about 75% of my duplicates a few weeks ago and I ended up with some really good games that I didn’t have in my collection. All the trades were with TCP members so I know they went to good homes and we didn’t have to screw around with any eBay fees. Technically, you don’t have as much protection if someone tries to screw you, but I was only dealing with people that have been members for a while, plus I wasn’t dealing with any high dollar games, so the risk was pretty minimal for me. If you have duplicates of high value games, that’s sort of a different story.

If the shells are good I use them for parts. I've been cleaning them up real good and selling them in batches, but I think at least for nes games I might try making cheap repos out of some of them.

I usually list my games on 99gamers.com and trade them for coins so I can get games I need. So far, it has worked out great as I tend to browse thrift shops and sometimes find good deals on games I already have.

I usually have one plastic tub with extras I throw into my backpack on saturday and sell to local game enthusiast friends at the swap meet.

I do something similar. I sometimes get lots of duplicate copies either from thrift shops or from lots that I buy. Mostly I will trade them in to a local game shop credit. Once in a while I find something like Mega Man Legends 2 or Smash Bros. which usually ends up on eBay.
