There's a lot of crap super Metroid hacks, mostly because the editor is easy to use: X

Here's a lost of hacks: X   The ones labeled GP many times have real gameplay mods that affect things besides just levels, but sometimes they count "No mushrooms in SMB" as a gameplay change.

MOD NOTE: NO MENTIONING OF ROM SITES BY NAME.

Umm, that wasn't a rom site, there wasn't a single rom on there from my understanding.  Just IPSs. But if we're blocking IPSs files too, you missed the site by Jeff has the same files.

Yeah, the aptly named RH dot network site only hosts patches.

Hell, one of the sites I mentioned actually hosts patched roms, so I decided to remove it myself.

The problem too with IPS patches, in theory they have no copyrighted info.  But if you actually change locations of anything like graphics, it now has a copy of the copyrighted work inside them.

I know we can't mention rom sites here by name, but has anyone "stumbled" across a working Super Mario Land Odyssey?

Where are you guys finding these hacks, and what are you playing them on?
ROMhacking.net only hosts legal patches, no ROMs. I play on an emulator.

Rockman 4 Minus Infinity, hands down the best MegaMan hack ever made. I absolutely love it.  :)

Sweet I will check that out!!

On a side note because I'm a huge RPG Fan I was able to patch Seiken Densetsu 3 translated to english and also I figured out the dual patching for Star Ocean as well. Star ocean is pretty awesome, the graphics are insanely good, music is pretty cool and the battle system is completely different than anything i've played before. I can't get to involved in either but i'm happy to get those working definitely!

Yeah, Seiken Densetsu 3 and Star Ocean are really cool games. I remember i tried an obscure Super Famicom RPG called Jojo's Bizzare Adventure. I found an english patch of it from Aeon Genesis, and thought i'd give it a try. It's difficult to learn at first, but once you adjust to it, it's pretty easy. So if you ever want to try a bizzare RPG, then give Jojo a try.

I think Aeon Genesis did a translation on Saga 2 on the DS which was a remake of Final Fantasy Legend 2. I always start the game and make it it thru 1/4 then stop playing. I really need to finish it in the future! but Jojo's Bizzare huh i'll check it out.

I'm not far in Star Ocean but the battle system is weird, theres like no time till next attack it seems u just spam your attacks then u get these abilities u put on L and R buttons.. i'll have to play more to fully understand it. but so far its pretty awesome.

Star Ocean and Star Ocean 2 is on psp just so you know, in case you want to play it before you actually get a cart of it.
