I've really been liking the orchestrated scores in the recent Mario and Zelda games, and Mario Kart 8 sounds fantastic from what I've heard so far.

Out of the games I've played recently,  Chrono Trigger has a banging soundtrack. The Corridors of Time (Zeal Theme) is so catchy.

The Genesis was just released in the states when this soundtrack came out. And it still kicks any of the Gen's soundtrack's asses.
