I'm cheap. Well I'm poor, and that makes me cheap =P

Edit: Actually I think the retron 5 and the Pier Solar reprint are the only 2 things I've ever pre ordered....

$40 for 60 games is a STEAL! I'm totally getting it NEW. If this sells well, we can hope to get more in the future.

Do want!

Didn't they make an Atari system that runs the actual carts?  And a Genesis system?

I'd kill for a nice Inty system that runs carts. :D

I'll be interested to see what games are included in the ColecoVision system.  Most of CV's best games were arcade translations, so I'd imagine it may be difficult to obtain the licenses to reproduce those games.  I doubt Nintendo will allow Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr. to be included.

Very accurate. In fact, I'm wondering if that's why it doesn't have a cart slot to play originals....

I doubt that's why.

A) It wouldn't make sense that they'd need some kind of license or permission to release new hardware that just plays old carts.
B) Atari and Genesis both had licensed titles on them and they somehow managed to release the consoles with ports on them.

I'd guess the real reason is that they're waiting for a Flashback 2 model. ;)

The games will most likely be the same ones from Intelivision Lives and the classic gamer colecovision titles.

Oh and a new resident evil title too...

Edit: Oh and the flash back consoles for Atari didn't have cart ports.  The first Atari flashback wasn't even an Atari, it was a nes on a chip with Atari games ported to it. Later ones could be hacked to add a cart port.

What WAS the logic in putting a cart-port on the Sega 80 game system, and none of the other flashbacks?

I think the sega one is the latest one.  I do know (Well ok, the story I heard goes) when they made the first Atari one, their contract with Atari had stipulations of when it had to be in stores, so rather than design an Atari on a chip, they used an existing nes on a chip, and ported the games.  They may have had more time for the sega one.

Not seeing any nes roms from the first flashback is strange though.  Never seeing the insides of one, makes me wonder if it is a NOAC or not.
