Hit a small jackpot at goodwill today, a PS1 for $3.  SFII 15th anv. controller for $2, all together games there were $14.  The PS1 does not have the expansion port, but my other one does, so I think I'll keep this one for link cable games.

And some PS1 goodness...

Forgot just how bad many non-emulated PS games look on TV.  Polygons breaking up left and right.

I turned a copy of Gate of Thunder\Bonks\Bomberman into this through the power of ebay:
[

Would have worked better if my copy had the manuals.  As it was, sold much higher than I expected.

I turned a lot of old Nes dups into a Colecovision, and an intellevision, SMW Advance, and one TG-16 game, China Warrior.  Only have the Coleco now, and it's not working.  Think it's the power switch, they go bad pretty easy, and it's not a single pole, it controls +5, -5, and +12 all through the one switch.

Hope to have time next week to work on it, I have one mystery colecovision game I want to find out what it is.

Also to megatron: Ys! Yay Ys!  And remember, it's pronounced Ease like Fleece.  I've been known to stab people who call it Wyse.

Course, it's Aron on SMS, so they can't even get that right.

Man, as much as I'm a sucker for uniformity, the spines on the PAL PS2 games kill me. At least the title in logo form would be nice. I swear I'd actually have a hard time picking out a game because I wouldn't be able to identify it visually in any way :(

Nice pickups though :)

I'll post a pic of my ps2 collection later then wiggy. You'll love it   ;)

My garage sale hunting payed off today. Two colletor's editions (sans the games that I already own) for $5 each.

I'm very happy considering that I almost sprung the $40 to get the Uncharted 3 extras alone.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

It's been ages since I've posted anything in the pick-ups thread, but I've been enjoying these, so I thought I'd share!

I'm not surprised, Wiggy -- you are a man with excellent taste! I'm about 200 pages into Console Wars, and it's a very fun read. MM25 was an easy choice because I missed the original releases of the Mega Man and Mega Man X Official Complete Works.

Is that Mega Man book just the Mega Man and Mega Man X books from a few years ago complied together?

That's pretty much correct, although some additional content has been added. I was able to get the book from Amazon.ca for about $54 which, compared to the individual prices of the old versions of the Complete Works, was a good deal!

Wow.  I had no idea they were worth so much.  I got the original 2 books back around Christmas 2010, barely touched them.  Just never really got around to it.  The X book has never been opened...based on Amazon pricing it's going to stay that way too.
