The D&D side scrollers are ports of arcade games. They're my second fav golden ax type fighters, the first being Knights of Valour (Never released on a home system, you have to use mame or make a supergun and get an IGS system plus the cart). Think golden ax with classes, D&D spells, items, and levels. (Remove the D&D spells, add SF-style special moves, and you have knights of valour) Most of the Capcom\SNK ports are the best home ports of their games, but require a ram cart.
Legend of Oasis is a Zelda-ish action rpg. Reminds me of alundra a lot, but I dislike how zoomed in to your char you are.
Mr Bones - Strange sidescroller that trys to be every game type in one game, not too bad.
Fighters, besides like , all the well known Capcom games, you have world heroes perfect, golden axe the duel, pocket fighters, and waku waku 7, a neo geo port from sunsoft. 3D fighters would be megamix, last Bronx, and virtua fighters. Fighting Vipers is interesting but just doesn't seem right.
RPGs, expect to pay out the nose if lucky. Albert Odyssey, Grandia (Also on PSX), Shining the Holy Ark, Magic Knight Gayearth, shining force III. And by working designs, Dragon force!
