Re-creating that shell would be VERY easy.  There's hardly anything to it.  But the work would be time consuming, no doubt.

Feels like the shell is the most difficult part to getting a copy of that into my hands.  With Tim's RGB out board and maybe a JRok encoder you can have all the video outs you want and the electronics done with little more than soldering point A to point B.  Hell, modding the SMS controller to have a start button on it would probably be the most difficult part of the electronics.  I for one am only interested in the console/controller, not the packaging he originally did with it.

print out a case for a gamegear console.

Also, gamegear consoles seem odd.  Most people are modding consoles to make them portable...

Curious about your PLA feed setup since it isn't coming off the included mount in the back.

Looks like one of the side panel screws is loose too ;)

That shell is about as simple a shape as it gets. I could model something like that up in very little time and them just click print ;)  It would require a ton of finishing afterwards, but that's just easy busy work.

Don't want to lost time in change the pla filament of the back panel :P. The screw it's due the shitty umi x1 pro camera :P

Would need a completed board before I could do anything since I'd need measurements from it.

Even so, I honestly don't have much in the way of spare time and it would be quite pricey between the cad work and printed parts.

Just be mindful of the filament. It binds up REALLY easily which will stop your and possibly clog the print head :-\

That's ok.  I probably wouldn't be interested in dropping that kind of cash.  I'm still wondering what I COULD make at home on my own.  Either way, I need to see if I can get my TV out mod to work first, then work on turning it into a console.

If you want to make a shell by hand and have limited tools to do so with, then look into getting some styrene in sheet form. It's extremely easy to work with and can be manipulated with just a small amount of heat :)
