yeah - but i'm running a business and have 3 houses and 7.5 acres of land to see to...............(and i'm lazy)  ;D

And then there is the speed versus quality thing.  ;)

Like old Finnish saying goes: Hosumalla ei saa kuin kusipƤisiƤ lapsia.
Rough translation: Haste only results pissheaded children.
Explanation: Do "it" hurry and some piss leaks in.

Ive got my trusty Towered Amiga 1200 (with hd's and cd) I had in the mid 90's still, though I recently beasted it and bought an 060 cpu and 32mb ram for it (which was not cheap let me tell you lol). Dont own many originals games for it though (Xtreme Racing basically), it's too easy and convenient to use whdload from a big hard drive on the system. Still i'm gonna be on the lookout for some of the better games on cd32 as most of them work on the a1200.

Have been loving it apart from the last few days of rain when the rest of the world (even England) seems to be having a heatwave! Grrrrrrrr.

As a frenchman you might be able to tell me where is a good place to go to get cheap games and retro stuff?  Been to a couple of vide greniers and depot vente but people seem to want new prices for their old stuff.

Yeah my grand parents have been telling me that's it's been raining pretty bad.

Re: buying games in the Southwest...... no idea. I bought all my stuff in Paris, if you go to Paris I would suggest heading over to the Voltaire/Republique neighborhood which has a lot of video games stores, import stores, modding stores, anime stores.....

Wow - a lot has changed in 8 years....but some things never do.

Back to square one, setting up a games room for the third time.

Still lots to unpack.......

Slow progress, but i'm pleased with the shelving.  It will be going all the way up to the ceiling (almost 4m high at one end)..........

For the shelving, I ended up using the uprights from Ikea GNEDBY CD racks, but then customising to make them wider, and adding my own timber shelving. They are 2m tall and sturdy. I didn't want to use Billy, as it's way too deep, and I wanted to fit the (almost 5m long) space exactly, so this has worked a treat.  SHOULD be able to get all the games on one wall with this system.

Will post a few more pics as it progresses.

Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."
