Why did they change the side art for the NES covers?

It does not look like the original box art when sitting on the shelve.

They slapped a box that reads "Nintendo entertainment system".....  witch sometimes replaces some look logos and such.
I guess they thought it looked better?

I would love to get the ORIGINAL> So they can look as they do in the ORIGINAL boxes.
How depressing.

Because my OCD demanded it. Uniformity.

Download photoshop and change into whatever the *bleep* you want.

OP because our covers are custom. Recently there has been a "Retail Spine" movement. So head to the request forum and hopefully some one will fill it.

For the most part, two covers are usually made; a cover project version (which is the spine you're referring to) and retail (which are authentic to the originals). Everything posted is volunteer work; as a result, sometimes only a Cover Project version is made and vice versa. The cover project offers every resource so you can make changes as you please. We provide template, photoshop, instructions, etc....

I will be more than happy to fill retail spine requests if they're posted in the request forum or even PM'd to me.

If he'd asked politely instead of whining, perhaps I would have. Hell, might have even felt like helping him out with a few edits. Oh what could have been!  :'(

OMG!

Thank You All for responding.  I am exited to see people actually care ^_^ After reading all your responses here what I have to tell you all.

If you are one of the people who do the covers with the "Nintendo Entertainment System" on the side... Thank you so much for your work. I"m sorry if I offended you,It does make it easier for people to see which of the universal cases are NES cases ^_^ Many have benefited from this. THANK YOU ^_^.

I didnt know something like that was possible so... I learned PhotoShop cc and so far I did Megaman 3, Breakthru, NinjaGaiden2, Solomon's Key, and working on Contra. I will do SuperC after that ^_^.  Thank you so much for caring ^_^.

Thank you so much. You saved my life. I didnt think someone would actually fill a request so I was filling my own "Retail Spine" request. ^_^
I would be more than happy to send you the covers I've done so they can be uploaded for anyone else who might want them ^_^.
I dont know how the site works, but I'd like to help if I can! Thank you. You understand the retro elite.

That's the right attitude mate, sorry if I came off a little harsh earlier in the thread. Just get tired of seeing so many beggars on this site tying up the time of the few people who do contribute here on a regular basis. 10-15 hours of beginner photoshop tutorials and you'd be well on your way to being able to make covers, just annoys me that others don't take the initiative.

And no, I don't contribute covers to this site on a regular basis. Most of my design time is taken up with private and commercial work or doing SNES manual layouts. Still, maybe I should take a few requests instead of jumping down peoples throats...something to think about.

Anyway, carry on learning! Once you get a grasp on things it really is quite rewarding.
