Thanks for the tips. I might go back. Knowing that he probably has several copies will make it a little easier to barter with him. I might offer him $80 for the pair and see what happens. If he takes it, great. If not, no big deal because I don't feel like I MUST have it.
Maybe you don't want to give out your secrets, but are there any other places in the St. Louis area that you have good luck with? I haven't found too many places other than the game stores (Slackers, Trade-N-Games, Newfire, V-Stock, Gamebusters). Obviously we have a bunch of Game Stops as well, but I haven't been in one of those in about three years......
If you haven't heard, Newfire in Maryville will be closed for 2 months while they remodel. They have some pretty good deals right now since they are trying to build up some sales and cash before they close. As far as I know, they are open until the end of April, so there is a little bit of time left.

Hadn't heard about Newfire doing the remodel, might have to check out their sale. You pretty much got it covered. Not sure where you are located but Arnold has Bodach's Games (pretty good prices, will haggle a bit), Arch City Gaming in Bridgeton (prices around eBay or a bit over but sometimes a deal can be found), Prestige Electronics in Bridgeton (good prices and good guys there), and Retro Games in Belleville, IL (prices are hit and miss but can haggle). There are a few other places but they mostly do newer games (PS2 generation and up) like Play N Trade (multiple locations), Gamez Unleashed (Belleville), GameSwap (Central STL), and Games Swap (Bethalto, yes, different place).

I'm in Granite City and I work in Alton.
Bodach's Games - Been there a few times. Great employees. Pretty good selection. It's just a long way out.
Arch City Gaming - Never been there. Will have to check it out.
Prestige Electronics - I was there on opening day. The owner is a really good guy. They had a really small selection back then, but he was working on improving that. Haven't been there in a while and I'm wondering what there selection is now.
Retro Games - Another good one, but there selection is limited.
Play N Trade - I was there once, but I'm usually looking for older stuff.
Gamez Unleashed - Haven't been there, but it sounds like they have mostly newer stuff as well.
Game Swap - I've been to the one in Springfield, since I'm from there originally and my parents are still up there. I've found some really good stuff at good prices there, but the older stuff is definately limited.
