LOL, I think so too...........the only problem is...........this was one of my few ESCAPES from real life!!! 

Seriously, "real life" is literally about to really start kicking my ass in about a weeks time, and will do every day from then for a couple of months.......so even if I wasnt feeling the way I am, or having anything like this conversation or trouble I am having finishing these, I would still need a major break any way as it is going to be day and night balls to the wall nasty for me soon.

Yeah.........I just had a quick tentative count up since the first ever request made of me in my SFC thread (the Power Rangers cover).............and I have made 51 covers since January 1st!!! 

That feels like quite a lot to me. lol..........thats 51 covers in 105 days.........yeah, I think 1 every 2 days or so is quite a lot huh. 

That's way too many you maniac, no wonder you're losing it! Just slow it down to one a week or something and regain your sanity.

If you need some time away ASAP feel free to send me the Bomberman PSD and I can finish it up.

Thank you for the offer of helping out, I think I will only take you up on that if I REALLY start to lose my shit with it and I am sure that wont happen.

Although...........after reading these messages, and seeing the support and understanding, I felt a little boost in terms of "Yeah, lets finish this thing today for these guys!", so Im chilling out just waking up, thinking Id start on it soon, get up to have a cigarette...........and my back is wet..........thats odd..........ohh, Ok, of course, the cat has pissed RIGHT in the middle of where I relax so now I have strip down the sofa of all the cushions, blankets, covers and other stuff she managed to get her stinky piss on (including me and my tshirt) and will now be washing them for the next few hours by hand with biological washing powder.............

LOL, not that this is anywhere near as bad as what has been going and what is to come for me............but man, you gotta just take a moment some times and tip your hat to how life just seems to LOVE to fuck with you at the most opportune moments huh.

Well B...........I actually feel like right now, this one is beyond me.

Its just the AMOUNT of minute distortion (and major distortion) that is just killing me..........I have literally just gone at the front for the last 4 hours straight and I have advanced about another 5th of the way down it, after having done about 1 and a half 5th's over the course of the last 2 weeks!

There is this point (which is where I am at) where the scan becomes a COMPLETELY different texture and I just have no idea what to do with it, how to blend it in or anything...........I have spent all this time on the front (I have been doing other areas when I cannot take any more of the front) and I actually feel like I cannot finish it, like I simply do not have the skill set to do it and someone else will/does.

Even the other parts I have done or tinkered with, just take so fucking long............as the scan quality is NOT QUITE good enough, it makes you feel like it will be Ok and "normal" amount of work, then you start and you realise you are going to have re-draw all the lettering by hand..........which is nasty nasty stuff.

So...........I am sorry to do this............but I dont think I can do it.

It is going to take me a lot longer, and I really think I have just been working on it too long now, as I start and then it soon as it becomes mildly difficult I just start to feel really angry for some reason.

Plus, I simply HAVE to stop doing this in a few days, and I will not be finished in a few days.

Just had a look at that scan, I can see why you are losing your shit with it. Cover art alone looks like it'll be about 2 - 3 hours to clean up by itself.

I have done it quite well as far as my normal standards up to the point where it becomes a new texture.

Ive done the front logo perfect, the text on the right side of the front, the Hudson logo and some of the red text on the back left hand side.

Just conducted a little test...............thought I would take a look at the Final Fight SFC cover a guy asked me to do, just to see how I got on with it and whether I felt the same.

Well, just under 2 and half hours later............we have a near flawless SFC cover that I did not want to stab myself in the eye over =



Not sure what that means..........I think it is a combination of shitty couple of weeks, fear of the coming weeks, burned out a little with these and ultimately a frustrating cover where I bit of more than I could chew.

Regardless, I am going to make one more cover for Banisher and then I am taking a break until the coming shit storm looming over has passed in a couple of months, although Ill still be around to chat. 

Thanks again guys for all your understand and words of encouragement, I really appreciate it and also really feel like I a proper part of this community now........something I really hoped would happen when I first started a few months ago now.

Just had an in depth look at the scan and did an hour of clean up...there will be no finishing this in a few hours. The level of moire on this scan is fucking insane. Fixing it is less about retouching the image and more akin to digital painting, I can do it but it's gunna take awhile. I'll keep you guys posted with progress shots and shit.

EDIT: First pass of Bomberman. Each part of the image will need 3 passes total I think. I will come to severely regret taking this on haha.
