Terrible Games That are Fun

Megatron:

For me, I really love those bad survival horror games.  Especially the Resident Evil knockoffs with the tank controls.  There are some pretty good RE4 knockoffs as well.
Off the top of my head...
Martian Gothic (PS1)
Deep Fear (Saturn)
Carrier (DC)
The Ring (DC)
Cold Fear (PS2)
X-Files Resist or Serve (PS2)
and my favorite so bad it's good - Deadly Premonition (360, PS3)

One could argue all of those games are good in their own right, but you get my point.  If there is an old school survival horror to be played, I have probably played it.

sheep2001:

I actually liked pac-man on the 2600.  I was too young to really know the arcade game, so I had a lot of fun with it taking it for what it was.  Then I played ms pac-man and opinion changed a bit.

Transbot on the sega master system.  It really is a dull travesty of a shooter.  But I played the hell out of it.

Gun bird 2 on dreamcast got awful reviews, but I quite liked it.

TDIRunner:

I enjoyed Duke Nukem Forever.  Don't get me wrong, it wasn't the best game I've ever played, but I don't think it was nearly as bad as most people said it was.  I think I enjoyed it because I'm old enough to be a big fan of Duke Nukem 3D.  I spent hours playing that game and it's add-ons.

Anyway, I bought Forever for $10 new, and I played it through to the end.  It was worth it for me and I'm glad it's in my collection.

Beastman1975:

i used to beat E.t. all the time on nes i used to play athena alot  and in hindsite i loved the kingfield games on ps1 ( they havent aged well at all )

quickfingers818:

one game that I am fond of that gets a bad rap is Beyond the Beyond for the PS1. Supposedly it is a "terrible" RPG but I enjoyed it quite a bit.
