| Terrible Games That are Fun |

I am a big Transformers fan (real big surprise, eh?) and most of the Transformers games on the various consoles I enjoy. There are one or two that I'm not thrilled with, but there was one on the famicom... Transformers: The Mystery of Convoy (Optimus Prime) This game is a hard sell. I found it back in early 2003 when I first got my famicom. It isn't for everyone, and it is really hard...but no where near as hard as AVGN may have suggested. It's frustrating, but with 20 minutes of practice, you can figure out how to clear levels with some basic skills. Still hard as balls, but with patience you can probably beat it in an hour or two. Case in point, once level one starts, just keeping running and spamming the trigger button. Never stop running, never stop shooting and only jump to clear the tanks. You won't get hit. Bosses are pretty weak as well. I am fully aware, however, how much this game really does suck. But I still enjoy playing it. |

Back in my early internet years before I had money to spend on games, I used to download a lot of free indie games. Oh, not games like Cave Story, I mean things on yoyogames that were made by kids with the free version of game maker. I can't think of specifics, but the entire game would be one huge bug, but I found it fun to mangle through it. Like, the bugs are unwritten rules that you have to figure out for yourself and play around. I believe some could actually help create ideas for a more polished game. |
