I've recently come into some e-Reader cards and it has me interested in tracking down more. So naturally I have some questions

1. Can someone confirm that Japanese e-Reader cards DO NOT work on a North American e-reader?

2. Do I need a Japanese e-Reader or e+ to use those cards?

3. Is there any reason a Japanese e-Reaser wouldn't work on my North American GBA or GBA SP?

4. How many Pokémon card minigames are there, and what cards have them?

5. How do you guys store your e-Reader cards? DS cases for each game? Card binder - 9 pocket or 4? (9-pocket is the larger size, 4-pocket is the size of most Pokemon card binders, fits on shelves with UGCs though they stick out)

6. Has anyone tried to make custom cards from the Japanese-exclusive cards that will work on a North American Super Mario Advance 4?

I can not answer all your questions, but can say there were 4 series of Animal Crossing cards with an e reader stripe on them (characters numbered to 275, plus patterns and songs and other things-37 binder pages worth). There are some DS case covers here for the NES games Nintendo released.

I only have three pokemon e reader cards, but I bet a series or three have them...

Apparently e-readers have some kind of region differences according to this.

Here's a list of pokemon minigames with required cards

I have a small amount of cards, so I keep them in a ds case. If I had a lot, I would use one ds case per big game (if you still have the wrapper, they fit nice in the manual tab) and a card binder for the rest.

E-reader won't work in an SP.   GBA hardware is identical from region to region.  You can use any GBA with any e-reader :)

E-reader won't work in an SP.
Why not?

The link cable just won't work.

Sorry, I meant that it doesn't fully function since the link port cannot be connected through the reader on the sp. it's not 100% useless as my post made it sound. My bad.

Really surprised that you didn't know this Wiggy, being a sort of hardware expert around here, but you are incorrect. E-Reader functions 100% on an SP (or GB Player). It doesn't need the link port AT ALL. The ONLY reason the link port it is there is as a passthrough, because on the original GBA, the link port would have been blocked by the e-reader. As a matter of fact, you can still link a GBA SP with an e-reader to Animal Crossing on GCN or Super Mario Bros. 3 on a second GBA(SP).
