I think like somewhere on each console's page there should be a percentage showing how much of the games are covered (PUN FTW).

That's a great idea. I think this way other people who come to this site e.g. via google search would be motivated to help. Kinda like the Pokemon-spirit. Gotta catch 'em all :)

Ideally, the database would be set up in such a way that all that stuff is automatic and we could review a report or something that's the equivalent of the N64 list.  The only manual updates needed would be a way to mark items as pending so that effort isn't duplicated.

This would be easy assuming we could get a full list of all the games available for each system. not tough for the US region, but maybe a little harder for other regions.

The only problem I foresee is with current systems like the 360 that will be continually having new games come out for it for years to come. It would need to be updated at least weekly.

Does Sony do that too? I know Nintendo does.

I don't really foresee it as a problem for current and next gen systems, b/c those mostly are not found disc-only anyways.  This project is much more necessary for old cartridge systems, and systems where people (or companies - EB and GS) have lost or thrown away the jewel case and insert.

Hey Snowcone....

Any idea when we can get the http://4tygames.googlepages.com/newn64list.htm maintained by 4tygames converted into a database on this site that others like yourself and I can maintain?

Lots of covers have been added but the list hasn't been updated in a while. I think he's at college or something so updates are few and far between.

I've got some major stuff on my plate for today and tomorrow, but I will get started laying some stuff out this week. My goal is to re-use the game list we already have setup for the active covers. I'll need to have additional records to keep track of scans, but that is easy enough to do.
