you just have to read the rules. I forget everything. I remember that carry on bags (or maybe all bags) should not weigh more than 50 pounds (or you will pay a fee as much as 200 US dollars.) Avoid carrying cigarette lighters, chemicals and sharp-pointed objects (knives, pins, etc). I always put my laptop in a briefcase with an external hard drive. I have no problems with bringing electronics. However, you are required to remove laptops from bags for separate scanning/screening. I remove all Alkaline batteries (aa, aaa etc.) from electronics and place each battery in a small ziplock bag. You don't have to remove lithium batteries from laptops or watches - to my knowledge. TSA list of Prohibited Items http://www.tsa.gov/traveler-information/prohibited-items you are allowed to put a TSA approved lock on checked luggage as TSA has a master key. |

Shameless plug for a friend's store, but they're not far from NYC at all, maybe 20 minutes or so. http://dpvideogames.com/store |
