I know this has been asked, and I've seen little to no responses in the other threads, but I was wondering if anyone were willing to sell any spare UGCs.

Honestly, I don't have any cartridges to fit them, but I'm wondering if I'd want to transfer my GG games into them vs keeping on modifying DS boxes. I don't need 100 right now from MediaShelving.

I don't mind if someone were willing to sell one or even two--just anywhere not near those being sold on eBay. I'm willing to pay $2 per case, and if anyone has 5 that'd be great.

But I'm open to offers.

Thanks.

This online store sells them at $1.25 each, $1 if you buy 10.

That link doesn't show a picture, but it only mention SNES games and no sleeve for the manual, is that the same as a ugc?

UGC's don't have sleeve or anything that hold manuals inside of them

Oh, what...?! I had no idea there were no clips to hold manuals, but that doesn't really bother me. Are these UGC? I'm just confused because the store mentiones only SNES, although the pic does seem to show the individual notches inside.

The store is just buying UGC's and marketing them as SNES cases because you don't have to modify them to get an SNES cart in there.

If you want to use them for NES games they will require some modification.

I'd suggest waiting as there seem to be some better solutions out there (bit box cases - Stone Age Gamer) and there are some other users on this forum working on NES cases.

I definitely am interested in the other cases for custom-fit carts. Unfortunately, I don't have any retro games besides Game Boy/Color and Game Gear, but when I do buy some I plan on getting the Bit-Boxes for NES carts, and will check out the other ones.

I've been modding DS cases for Game Gear games, but it's been quite the tedious process case after case and they don't fit the manuals. There are a few people here in another thread who have decided to use UGC cases instead; I like the fact that they hold the manuals and allow for larger box art. But since I don't own any retro carts at the moment I wasn't keen on forking over $60 for 100 UGCs.

That other shop sounds more reasonable for 10.

I'm starting to think that's not gonna happen. That project has been in the works for over 2 years now :-\

Well what can I say, I'm feeling that too, and I only have one year following onion cases thread. I still have some hope.

I really think that custom game cases will be finish and selling Nes cases first

yeah i lost all hope on the onion game cases and just went with standard ugc's and modded them to fit nes games. it was very time consuming and tested my patience, but i couldn't wait any longer. wish the onion cases went through

I agree. The only reason the factory is not working on the NES at this moment is because I don't want to confuse them with information for the NES while they are working on the SEGA Clamshells. BUT! I am getting my details and photos ready while they are quickly banging out the Clamshells mould.

Groovy, I'm actually more in need of SNES7SFC cases than NES, but I need those too.

I seriously cannot wait for these sega clams.  Seymore onion has been dangling the carrot about these for so long now.
