I just learned that in school they taught us knowingly wrong about the order of planets!!!

I was wathing science program and learned that altough we were taught that Neptune is the 8th planet and Pluto the 9th, infact on January 21 1979 Pluto temporarily became the 8th and Neptune the 9th planet from the sun.
On February 11 1999 they crossed back.

So infact during all my school years (1986-1996) the school bullshitted me!!!
And if asked I think most of us have been taught the same.

And yes I know Pluto is no more planet, but back then it was.

Just FYI. ;D

When I first learned that this happened, I wondered, what would happen if they crossed paths at the same time?  I did some reasearch, and because of their orbit paterns, they could never crash into each other.  I was a little disapointed because the thought of two planets crashing seemed pretty cool at the time.
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

Well in my school they didn't really care about Uranus as they didn't consider it that interesting they didn't touch it.

I'm sick of Uranus jokes.  I say we rename that planet to end the jokes once and for all.  I suggest Urectum.

I found about the order thing because I was checking could they impact, as that would be really awesome.

Planets can crash. There's just not a good possibility of it. Universes can crash together too. NASA showed a picture of it happening.

You mean Pluto and Neptune?
Those 2 will never collide as their tracks don't actually ever cross.
And for them to go off from their tracks would need so big object that it's never going to happen.

Some planets outside our solar system maybe.
