So this is a really open-ended question, but lately there seems to have been a boom of Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games locally. At one CD Tradepost on the west side of town, there was a huge bin filled with games, like probably about 600+ games if I were to guess. I'm seeing more and more at thrift stores, pawn shops and garage sales as well.

I grew up playing the Mario, Donkey Kong, Pokemon and Star Wars games, but now that they are so easily available locally, I thought I might ask what everyone's favorite games are for these systems, Advance games especially.

Also any hidden gems or decent series are appreciated. I just recently picked up WarioWare, Drill Dozer and 2 Vicarious Visions Crash Bandicoot games and am enjoying those. I also picked up one of the Pokemon GBA Video carts. I forgot these things existed - not that great, but still a cool experiment.

Spyro 2: Season of flame for GBA was one of my favorite games when I was younger. Turok 3 for GBC is also a pretty underrated game.

Also, the Sonic Advance series is great on GBA, especially the first one. They feel more like the genesis games than sega's newer attempts at 2D sonic.

I store here has grab bags, 20 gb\gba games for $20.  Almost all low end stuff, but still nice for bulking up the collection, and I've gotten a few nice games.

Dragon Warrior Monsters is one of them, it's a pokemon clone, breeding is much more complex though.  I'm also a fan of Solomon's club\Monster Rancher Explorer.   I just found out that the Tumblepop game on GB is nothing like the arcade game, and plays like complete ass.  yu yu hakusho tournament tactics is a great final fantasy tactics clone.  And of course you have classic castlevanias, and the "metroidvania" style ones.

My Favorite Gameboy games would have to be Final Fantasy Adventure, and Final Fantasy Legend 2, legend 3 is ok and i never played 1 but I now own it so i'll check it out but legend 2 had the best story and adventure got me into the final fantasy series.

Tetris is always a winner because anyone can play it and it passes time when there is nothing else to do.

Pokemon advance games are great, i own them all but with the current gen its hard to play them on a portable but when the new Retron 5 is released i'm buying it just to play Advance games on a TV with a SNES controller.

Metroid Fusion and Zero mission are also fantastic seeing Super Metroid is one of my all time favorite games.

There is so many I could add more but for the sake of opinion i'll just end it here =)

I now this now that Adventure was Mana and Legend was Saga but when i was 11 it was Final Fantasy and it opened the world to me to my first SNES FF Mystic Quest then II here in america and then I bought the NES Version and played through that then FFIII etc.

Adventure was my gateway drug to the Final Fantasy universe. and i'm glad I played it.

Glad you found some amusement in that lol. And in all honesty that's where I do my Tetris playing.
