Think this will affect value?

I was going to sell a duplicate of Zelda on NES, and while I was checking see if they worked and if the batteries had any juice left, I thought, wonder if I'd get more for it by making it to Gannon without the sword?  It'd take me 3-4 hours to do I think, maybe more since it's been a while since I played, and since I have no new battery clips left, I'd have to be playing it on what could be a dead battery.

I figured it wouldn't help the value, but if someone saw two lose carts for sale, they would pick mine over the other one.  Problem is, mine also has a bit-box with it, so they would already pick mine, so I think I'd be wasting my effort.  I could also get the blue ring, magic shield, candle, 3 heart containers, and white sword before clearing any dungeons, that takes about 10 mins of play.

For those of you wondering how to do this, or thinking you can't, the only monster you NEED a sword to kill is Ganon (Ok, Gannon). Candle and bombs are your main attack till you get the bow, so you have to hit up all the secrets under statues first.  Once you buy the candle, it's a lot of run on screen, burn someone, leave, come back.  It becomes a resource management thing where you have to keep track of your ammo, until you get the wand.  Once you get the want, the "fun" is gone, since it works just like a white sword. Gleeok for example can only be hurt by the wand.  Not the magic blasts from the wand, but the actual stick part.  And Darknuts suck, cause the bomb blast affects them based on how you face, not where it explodes.   So drop one as a darknut coming after you, and turn your back to it.  The bomb to it's face hurts it.   So you get blasts where you and a darknut are back to back, and it doesn't get hurt.

Is 3-4 hours of your time worth virtually no extra money?   If you wanna do it just for the fun of it before selling it, then go for it!  Otherwise you're selling a SUPER common game which had a pretty well established value, which isn't all that much.

I doubt anyone would pay more for a save file. Tasks like that are usually only valuable to the person who did it, like a form of self satisfaction. If you do attempt it for fun, then it wouldn't hurt to mention it.

I've considered gamesharking a pokemon leaf green cart before selling it to have every pokemon except the ones you can get without trading, but I never thought about it being worth more, just to make the next person happy.

I've done it, so no thrill in doing it again.  Like I said, it'd just make this one stand out more, but the bitbox also does that. I think I'll just sell it all as a lot anyways, I hate waiting for stuff to sell and relisting it.

I've watched playthroughs that do no-sword, and the timing on bombs/etc is pretty ridic.

Getting all the heart containers on the world map (I thought there was more than 3 but I'm not positive), potion, candle, arrows, bombs, food, white sword, magic shield, and blue ring... that's child's play.  :)  I also usually have about 10 extra keys by the end of level 2, just because you can bomb damn near every wall in that dungeon and avoid using ANY keys.
