I just picked up a super mario world 2 yoshi's island for snes  When I went to clean it I noticed a metal tab to the right.   I put it back together and the picture has waves in it almost like someone is wiggling the av cord.  My snes doesn't to this for any other game.  So my question for you guys is what is the tab for and any idea why the picture is wavy.
thanks in advance

The tab is a ground for the SFX chip in the cart (think Star Fox).   Not sure about the wavy image.

Bad /  dirty connection of that grounding taab.

Try opening the cart and cleaning the point where the tab touches the board (it's not connectedf to it, it just touches it when cart is closed).

I did open it up and clean it up.  I double checked the ground tab and its touching.  Wondering if its my snes  The other games that I just recently got worked fine.

It's the cart.
After some thinking I think I read somewhere that about to break FX chip does that.
