It actually sounds fun to make my own cases now, rather than buy them. I had no idea they were getting the prints from this website.

Do you know where I can get cases that fit NES games?

Yeah many sites steal the copvers we make.
We don't sell the covers we make but make them freely available to everybody *(including the assholes ::)).
Making covers is fun, but making high quality ones is tedious.

UGCs fit NES, as do bitboxes, Seymor onion cases (if they are ever done ;)) and Shadowfox is maybe (or probaly if not definitely) making cases for NES aswell.
All cases except bitboxes use same covers, bit boxes have their own slowly growing collevtion of covers.

We do covers per request as well.
To get your request fulfilled more likely, provide high quality 300DPI (or better yet 600DPI scans.

UGC? Are you talking about the universal game cases? The website that I found has those. 100 for about $50. But claims that they won't fit NES games unless you saw off the plastic pieces inside.

So maybe you know of some other boxes I haven't found yet.

Could you please provide a link to these caes?

Talking about universal game cases indeed.
They do fit NES, but like you've read need modification.

Other cases that use same covers (opr should use when thery emerge) are:
- Onion cases: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=10153.0 (nothing heard from them in a while.
- Shadowfox cases that are in planning stages, but with luck might emerge in few months. Latest meaningful post from today: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=15645.msg137013#msg137013.
Read and follow that topic to see progress.

Or if you are inpatient go with bitboxes: http://www.thecoverproject.net/forums/index.php?topic=15010.0
These cases need their own covers as they are bigger.

Thanks for all the help. This sounds like a fun project to make. I have a huge collection of NES games. Thanks for making all these covers available.

On another topic, do you know if playing NES games will cause them to wear out or break?

I haven't been able to find the answer any place. I'm wondering if I need to buy second copies for playing or if it's okay to play my collector games.

Well the contacts do wear, but not that big risk.
