Hey guys, haven't posted in awhile!

So here's the deal;  I'm married and my wife is starting to get a little tired of all the games I have taking up shelf space.  I'm looking for some kind of DVD cabinet that can house my games (and hopefully some future ones).  Ideally it will have doors that close on the front and act as an opaque housing unit for my games.  I estimate my games take up about 125 DVD cases worth of space right now.  Does anyone have something or know of something that might fit this bill?

I'm hoping to not spend more than $50-60.

buy some lumber and hardware and make one yourself to whatever specs you need!  cheapest way to go and a fun weekend project.

This might not be a terrible idea but unfortunately I don't really have a saw.  And any real job would probably require a power saw, right?

This seems to have some pretty bad reviews.  Are you suggesting it from some kind of experience?

I have the version without the doors from the same makers. It works find for me. The version I posted for you hold 175 DVD and has doors and is in the price range you asked for. Isn't that what you want?

I'd recommend the IKEA billy bookcase with the door attachments.

It will be quite a bit more than $50 or $60 though but it will keep the wife happy and the collection organized.

I'd say don't cheap out on it if you want something nice.  You can sometimes find them used for a decent price which may get it to your $50-$60 range.

I find Billy book cases are way too deep for game/media storage.

This here. There is nothing quite like having a cabinet to your exact liking and size, plus its not all that difficult to make.

The space of only 125 DVD cases is nothing. I'd suggest dumping the wife.  ::)

Check out the collection show-off thread on Cheap Ass Gamer.  A lot of shelving discussion in there and those guys seem to have found the most affordable, decent quality (chip board/MDF) shelves that get the job done and still look decent :)
